Hengtong Cable Australia (HCA), will be supplying 13km of 6.6kV and 27km of 11kV Power Cable to the Alkimos Desalination Plant Project. This is a second part of the project, where HCA has already successfully delivered 9km of 11kV and 240m of 132kV Power Cable.

The Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant (ASDP) is a project in Western Australia to build a sustainable drinking water source for Perth. The plant will supply 50 gigalitres (GL) of drinking water per year initially, with capacity for expansion to 100 GL in the future and is intended to help secure the region's water supply as rainfall declines.
